	Cheung Ngai started as a small knitting factory founded in the late 1930s by Mr. Ng Kwan Cheuk in Hong Kong with just over 10 workers and an annual knitwear finishing capacity of approximately 4,000 pieces. The products were only sold in Hong Kong. The factory has since grown fairly quickly and became a private limited company in 1977. Given the fast-rising manufacturing costs in Hong Kong in the 1970s, the opening-up of China since 1978 has provided the company an opportunity to relocate most of its production activities in the Mainland from the early 1980s onwards. At present, Cheung Ngai has 2 factories (100% owned by the company) & 2 sub-contracted factories in Mainland China. Cheung Ngai is an international-focused manufacturing and trading company headquartered in Hong Kong, employing over 600 people including worker in China. It has been manufacturing and distributing quality knitwear/sweaters' for overseas customers for over 50 years, mainly in Europe, and an annual production capacity of one million pieces. Our well-styled, trendy and high-quality products are mainly manufactured in accordance with designs, either from customers or selected from our own designs.
